Naked Ladies’ raises almost $2,000 for Head and Neck Cancer
Last month, an incredible group of women in Auckland’s eastern suburbs opened up their hearts (and one of them, their home) for a unique event to raise valuable funds for Head and Neck Cancer Support Aotearoa.
Victoria and Pene have been running this annual ‘The Naked Ladies’ event for several years, but for the last three, they have kindly donated the proceeds of their event to HNCSA, and we are so incredibly grateful to them.
The ladies spend several weeks gathering up unwanted women’s fashion items from friends and family across their nearby community, then bring all of the items together for one big sale right from the living room of one of these amazing women.
The house was awash with phenomenal designer outfits, shoes and accessories and this year, the ladies also conducted a silent auction on the side. By the end of the afternoon, they had raised $1,970.00! So a huge thank you to them both.
All of the money donated will continue to allow us to provide support for patients, whānau (family) and support people, throughout the journey of diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
Thanks again, ladies!
